Changes to benefits enrollment rules and procedures in accordance with federal regulation and guidance issued to provide employees with relief from impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Create two new Life Events which UCPC staff will open at request of employees who wish to make changes to their benefits elections and who meet the criteria to do so:

COVID-19 Extension Life Event – Allows employee an extended period to enroll in or make changes to certain benefit plans when they have an event that qualifies as a HIPAA Special Enrollment Rights event

COVID-19 Med/FSA PIE Life Event – Allows employees a period of initial enrollment to elect, cancel or change their medical plan, Health FSA or DepCare FSA.
