Did you know: Inaccurate job end dates can cause a variety of issues.
- If the “end job automatically” checkbox is selected, the job will be automatically terminated on the job end date.
- If the job is terminated in error, a reinstatement needs to be processed which requires a significant amount of work to correct the job record and reinstate benefits
- If the “end job automatically” checkbox is not selected and the job reaches the job end date, the job will not be terminated, but:
- The employee may be overpaid if they are no longer working and should have been terminated
- The employee’s benefits may change or drop even if the employee is still working, because jobs with past job end dates are not considered for benefits eligibility
- Leverage these Cognos reports to identify and validate job end dates and take appropriate action
- R007: Job Record End Date Audit Report
- R103: Jobs with Approaching End Dates (i.e. 30/60 day parameters)
- R384: Escalation/Reminder of Approaching Job End Dates (i.e., 10-day parameter and Expired End Dates)
