A source of updates and information for UCI UCPath Transactional Users

The Direct Retro process runs regularly five to six times per month. After the transactions run in UCPath, the information can be viewed in DOPE report. Transactions are only loaded to KFS after the labor ledger runs.

No funding or budget distribution page entries can be entered June 29/30 due to year-end funding roll over activities.  The system will remain available for other types of transactions. 

We have expanded the Frequently Asked Questions section of our Transactional User page of the ucpath.uci.edu website to include questions we receive at the weekly Tuesday Training Tips call-in Zoom meetings. If you have other questions, please email us at ucpath@uci.edu and we can add these to the list to have answers at your fingertips.

Due to continued social distancing and remote work, the virtual drop-in center continues to be available five days a week, from  8:30 a.m. –  3 :00 p.m. Monday – Friday.  A support team member will answer your call, ask what type of question you have, and help you immediately or set an appointment for a zoom session later that day. Also continue to open cases with the EEC at 949-824-0500 or  eec.ur.uci.edu.

• Training Tips & Lessons Learned
  1:00 p.m. Tuesdays – Call in to join this one-hour group session on popular topics based on the kinds of cases we are getting and feedback from previous weeks. Topics are published the day before the meeting at ucpath.uci.edu on the transactor page. Notes from each meeting are available there a few days after each session.

Question: Do I still need to track service credits so that I can update an employee’s leave code as they hit 10, 15, 20 years pf service or does UCPath automatically update without department intervention?

Answer: The system will automatically change the accrual when the person moves to the next time period.

Question: How does the year-end funding roll-over affect funding already input for fiscal year 2021?

Answer: Any funding entry that has already been entered for fiscal year 2021 will not be overridden by the Fiscal Year End Roller process; these are any Funding Entry Effective Dates that are greater than 6/30/2020. All funding without an end date will be copied to the next fiscal year June 29/30.

SWB update: When putting Limited Staff or Faculty on Short Work break, it is important to ensure their FTE is reduced to .01 to avoid employee being benefit eligible.
