UCPath System Access (Security)

Access to perform transactions (payroll, HR transactions, creating positions, or funding) in UCPath is governed by KSAMS and determined by your job duties. This page explains the process for requesting UCPath access. Access may vary from person to person, based on what their job requires. Create a Request with Roles and Departments

Utilizing KSAMS (Kuali Security Access Management Systems), create a new access request or a request for removing existing access.

Remember there are two types of roles needed for a new user: Role security and Row Level security.

Roles Wiki

Your primary resources to help understand what security roles you need are the UCI UCPath System Access website and the UCPath Roles Wiki. Roles Wiki gives you an in-depth understanding of each KSAMS role.

 

TAM

Talent Acquisition Manager module enables users to create job openings, get approvals for openings, post job openings, manage candidates and applicants, and make job offers before submitting a candidate for hire.

Payroll

For users expected to perform payroll transactions such as processing additional pay entry for employee, PayPath transaction, one-time pay, payroll request, or experienced-based pay.

HCM

Roles for users who perform Human Resources transactions or approve them. These transactions include hire, extended absences, PayPath, Forms, position management, and time upload.

GL

Users who have accounting or budgeting responsibility to maintain position funding, Work Study inquiry, funding entries, direct retros, or benefits cost transfers.

Benefits

The Benefits module in UCPath is automated in enrolling employees into benefits programs based on rules and criteria. With the role of Health Care Facilitator, a user can maintain information on beneficiary and their dependents.

Reports

UCI UCPath Reporting has a range of reports written exclusively by UCI using Cognos system. There are also reports in UCPath Online; to request those roles, see link below. For the UCPath Cognos Reports Security and a list of the available reports, please visit the UCPath Reporting Security page.

Other Support
